Insulators and Electricals Company (IEC) was setup in Mandideep. Bhopal in 1986.The plant was setup in Technical collaboration and electrical with M/s.RWI ( Rheinisch westfalische Isolator Werke ) Germany .The detail engineering for the plant was done by Tata Consulting Engineers .The plant has been in operation for more than 22 years and has today become a major source of porcelain insulators to worldwide companies.
